We were picked up at 9.30am for our trip to Agra. (210kms / 4 hours). Another hot cloudless day. We arrived at our Hotel at 1.30pm to have free time until we got picked up at 6.15pm to go to the Mahabharata e Taj Show which is a musical depicting the life of Mumtaz and Shah Jahan highlighting the story behind the Taj Mahal. After the show we came back to the hotel for dinner. We have managed to get free wi-fi here which is good as we had to pay NZ$17 for our stay in Delhi. Not a lot to write about today as more just travelling.
This is what we had to battle with as we left New Delhi in the peak morning traffic. No road rules everyone just trying to weave through a space tooting their horns. Mad!!
Wasn't too long before we got out of the mad city and got onto the motorway to Agra. What a contrast. It was like this all the way very comfortable travel. Our driver who we have for the whole tour seems very cautious and doesn't go to fast.
Arrived at the Hotel (foyer) called DOUBLE TREE BY HILTON, Agra for two nights.

The theatre where we watch the story behind the Taj Mahal
It was very clever the way they brought the Taj Mahal to the stage towards the end of the story. The model you see on the stage was slowly brought up through the stage floor then it just looked like it was sitting on the stage. The people in front of it are a few of the characters in the show. They came and stood in front of the model after the show had finished, for people to go up and take photos. It was all quite well done.
